How does a 504 apply to MALS?

Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (commonly referred to as a 504) is an incredibly powerful tool for those suffering from a disability. It is designed to protect the rights of individuals with disabilities. So that they can maintain their schooling while coping with their illness.

 

As we know many MALS patients struggle to maintain a regular schedule. Which can make going to school on a regular basis an impossible task. A 504 can help you in finding a way to address your needs with your school.
